Every First Friday, The Uptown Nightclub presents a FREE show of bands that speak to the heart of Oakland’s ascension. This month’s show falls under the umbrella of punk and all it’s encarnation. The bands are Mighty Quinn and the Oakland Ronin, Bum City Saints, Coercion, and Ghost of California.
Mighty Quinn and the Oakland Ronin (Oakland) – iammightyquinn.com
Mighty Quinn is a singer and songwriter from Oakland, CA. In 2009 his debut single “My Road” aired on ABC TV’s “Scrubs.” In 2010 Quinn released the My Road EP. 2013 saw the release of Mighty Quinn’s Young Ninjas EP, and a series of music videos with ninjas and robots keep appearing online. Mighty Quinn is currently playing shows with punk outfit Mighty Quinn and the Oakland Ronin.

Bum City Saints is a San Francisco Bay Area punk band. This three piece, fast paced, in your face band is on a mission to keep punk rock alive and well with a sound that holds on tight to its roots.
Coercion (Santa Cruz)
Forged on 20 years of bitterness and determination, COERCION 96 is rock music with members of Good Riddance, Death by Stereo and Lonely Kings.
Ghost of California (Petaluma)
Ghost of California is a rock and roll band based in Petaluma, CA.
