Host and founder Kim Lembo present’s “Grab ‘Em By The Songs” the first Tuesdays of the month at The Uptown in downtown Oakland featuring women sharing songs in the round.

Kim Lembo
Whether with her full band or, solo Lembo brings blues, with an edgy soulfulness combined with poetic lyrics and storytelling. Her voice is big and echoes a kind of Etta James meets Lucinda Williams if they played in a band with Janis Joplin. It is the sound of music that can not be defined by a singular genre. She sings from her soul with songs written from the heart.
Lembo has played all over the US and has recorded in France, California, and NY. From the stages of Paris to hiking up the side of the Great Wall of China with a guitar and a slightly broken foot, she has brought her uniquely deep and powerful voice to thousands throughout the world. Lembo has a voice to be reckoned with and a story to be shared.

Paige has served multiple stints as songwriter-in-residency at The Bazaar Cafe and is the creator, curator and host of the popular “Songs About Something: Old, New, Borrowed and Blue Tunes in the Round”—an ongoing monthly songwriters-in-the-round series held at Albany’s Ivy Room. Her bluesy yet melodic approach to song has been shared from the stage at High Sierra Music Festival, DelFest, Hangtown Halloween Ball, Cuko Rakko Music Festival, ULUV Music Day and many of the Bay Area’s most popular haunts, including The Fillmore, Great American Music Hall, Terrapin Crossroads, Boom Boom Room, Freight & Salvage, Sweetwater Music Hall, Ashkenaz and more.
Paige will be featured in the upcoming documentary, The Creative High, and is currently recording her debut solo album slated to be released in early 2018.
